A SPLASH of Talent

January 6th, 2018 – Tupelo Civic Auditorium – 6:00 PM
A Talent Contest for K – 12 and a special category for our Special friends and neighbors.
There will be four categories of contestants, grades K – 4, grades 5 – 8, grades 9 – 12, and our Specials (no age limit).
This is a fund raiser for Mississippi North District Junior Civitans, and the UAB Civitan International Research Center.

International Dance-A-Thon

March 9 – 11, 2018 –  Myrtle Beach South Carolina
This super fun event is held in Myrtle Beach South Carolina every year.  It is attended by Junior Civitan members from all over the United States and Canada, and occasionally, for one of the eleven other countries that have Junior Civitans.

To attend this awesome event, you must donate a minimum of $100.00 to the UAB Civitan International Research Center.  You are responsible for your own travel and lodging.  If you would like more information about this event for next year, ask your club advisor, or contact your District Chair.

District Convention

May 5  2018  –  “Cinco de Mayo”
This promises to be a really fun day, with a lot of learning, and doing.  The convention committee will be planning all kinds of interesting and unusual activities.  You will not want to miss this one.

National Leadership Forum

June 3 – 8 2018 – Harding University, Searcy Arkansas
A week of intense leadership training that you will never forget.  Stay in the dorms and eat in the dining hall of this beautiful Christian college.  Meet kids from Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, and Missouri.those who have gone in the past will tell you, it is a week well worth the going.

Junior Civitan International Convention

June 21 – 23, 2018 – Tupelo, MS
This event is the highlight of the Junior Civitan year.  Junior Civitans from around the world converge on this convention.  Friendships are made or strengthened.  Meetings are held, training is done, dances are danced, and everyone comes away with a renewed energy.  Some clubs and individuals receive awards, and some are disappointed.  But everyone has fun.
